Attention BIG SAILBOATS (and “Island Dreamer”) - Spring CRANEDAYS are scheduled for May 14th & June 4th!
OPENING DAY & BOAT COMMISSIONING - We are planning on our usual opening day at the docks, May 15th. Please contact us in the next few weeks, particularly if you'd like to be on the launch schedule before Memorial Day weekend, to get a spot on our launch calendar and to schedule any commissioning/springerizing work that your boat may need.
SLIPS FOR 2019 - Give us a call if you are still looking for a slip. The dock chart is packed but occasionally plans change and something opens up. Click on the FORMS tab to download our Slip Agreement for 2019.
SHRINKWRAP RECYCLING/REUSE PROGRAM CONTINUES - We're delighted to continue our shrinkwrap recycling and reuse program again this spring. No shrinkwrap should ever go into our dumpsters. If you plan on unwrapping your own boat, please check-in with us first to determine whether your wrap can be carefully saved, stored and reused. Click here for a refresher on how our recycling program works and what you need to do.
VALET SERVICE 2019 - We continue to expand our Valet Service, which has become very popular for boats on their own service-able trailers. Click on the SERVICES tab to get more info, and click on the FORMS tab to download the Valet Agreement to reserve valet service for 2019.
LINES & FENDERS, PLEASE - Please check in with us to be sure your boat is properly "lined and fendered". It's serious business when the wind blows from the north. Please read through these general line-and-fender guidelines for docking at Ladd’s Landing Marina:

LINES & FENDERS, PLEASE - Please check in with us to be sure your boat is properly "lined and fendered". It's serious business when the wind blows from the north. Please read through these general line-and-fender guidelines for docking at Ladd’s Landing Marina:
- All boats should use at least 1/2” high-quality docklines and 8”x20” fenders
- Boats 25’ and over should use 5/8” docklines (if the cleats will allow) and 10”x26” fenders
- All boats should be tied with at least 2 bowlines & 2 stern sternlines (15’ to 20’ each) and 2 springlines (each at least equal to boat length).
- It’s also a good idea to have a few extra lines of each size, just in case you need them when the wind blows or when you’re at another marina.
- Docklines less than 12-15’ are just too short for any purpose, because they can’t be thrown when you’re coming into the dock - there isn’t enough length or weight to reach a person catching the line on the dock until the boat is already too close.
- If there is a "loaner line" tied on your boat, often heavy maroon or teal lines added by the marina crew on windy days, please see us about purchasing an appropriate replacement line.
