Throughout the spring pre-season, we have implemented modified procedures around the marina to increase workplace physical distancing for our crew. We are now implementing procedures to support expanded physical distancing as we welcome customers back to the marina for the 2020 season. These will include modified procedures for
- accessing your boat when others are on the docks
- fuel dock & pump- out
- bathhouse usage
- ship's store
- boatyard work
- marina shop
- rumpus room, grills & picnic tables
We will have signs around the marina to guide you through these new protocols, and lots of hand sanitizer & Spray Nine disinfectant around to keep things and people clean. We are also working on a "living document" with more details that we will post on the website and continue to refine for those who'd like to study-up on the specifics.

Of particular note are the following:
- MORE THAN 6' PHYSICAL DISTANCE & FACE COVERINGS - All marina customers, family & crew should maintain a distance from any non-household members of more than 6 feet, and wear face coverings (masks, scarves, gaitors/buffs) when at the marina, except when you are on your own boat at the docks, or on/near your boat as you do your prep work in the boatyard.
- ARRIVE, PLAY, LEAVE - For marinas, this generally translates to "arrive, go to you boat, enjoy the lake". Further guidance specifically states that "groups may not gather before or after activities (no tailgating, etc.)", which means no "tailgating" on the docks or lawns or parking lots.
- VERMONTERS OR 14-DAY QUARANTINED - Marina operators must obtain signed statements from individual customers that they are either Vermonters (who have not left the state for the prior 14 days from any marina visit), or have completed quarantine in VT for 14 days prior to any marina visit. A draft certificate is at this link, BE SMART STAY SAFE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE, and a final version should be online before 5/22/20.
We have been advised that some of this guidance may change over time, particularly as we reach the next potential end date of the STAY SAFE order on June 15th.
